The Design Research Venn Diagram

This project is a graphic tool for compiling design research sources, combining the characteristics of a literature map and a war wall. The layout is inspired by a four-area Venn diagram, adding spaces for non-intersecting sections.
The research is to be separated into four (or less) sub-categories of the user's research topic, and sources are to be laid out on the diagram based on how broad, narrow or specific they are. Laying out the sources on a map such as this one provides a visual indication of where there are gaps in research and where primary research needs to focus on.
The areas on the sides leave room for notes, follow-up questions or insights.
This post details the creation of the map.
